Suzhou Menhow Successfully Concludes Fire Emergency Drill for H1 2026

Hidden dangers outweigh open flames, and prevention prevails over disaster relief. To fully implement the corporate main responsibility for work safety and enhance all employees’ capabilities in fire emergency response as well as self and mutual rescue, Suzhou Menhow a manufacturer specializing in silicone rubber products and membrane switches, flexible printed electronic, pressure sensor, held a comprehensive fire emergency drill at its plant for the first half of 2026.
Firefighters from Suzhou Science and Technology City Fire Squadron provided on-site full guidance throughout the event. Adopting an integrated model combining pre-drill training, on-site evacuation drills, fire equipment tutorials and live-fire practical exercises, the activity delivered an immersive fire safety training tailored to the actual working conditions of the silicone rubber vulcanization and membrane switch printing & coating workshops.
Prior to the drill, the company’s full-time safety officer organized department heads and staff in key positions for a special pre-drill fire safety session. Centered on special processes including silicone vulcanization and printed circuits printing coating, the training covered core points such as storage of flammable raw materials, electrical circuit hazard inspection, chemical fire prevention and control, initial fire handling standards, fire evacuation guidelines and daily fire management requirements. Typical fire accidents in rubber, plastic and capacitive touch films production were analyzed, with clear division of responsibilities for each emergency response team. The session raised staff fire safety awareness and delivered production-site-specific fire protection expertise, laying a solid theoretical foundation for the subsequent practical drill.

Following theoretical instruction, employees moved on to live-fire practice with dry powder fire extinguishers. Firefighters demonstrated the standard four-step operation procedure: carry, pull, aim and squeeze — lift the extinguisher, remove the safety pin, hold the nozzle and aim at the base of flames before squeezing the trigger. Critical operational notes were highlighted. Based on the flammable properties of silicone raw materials and printing inks for membrane switches, differentiated response methods for electrical and chemical fires were explained, correcting common errors in daily fire equipment use in workshops.
The drill served as both a practical combat exercise and a targeted safety warning education customized for the silicone rubber and printed Ecg electrode sector. Going forward, Suzhou Menhow will uphold the principle that “no safety issue is trivial, and precaution comes first”. The company will strengthen safety management for high-risk procedures including silicone vulcanization and printed circuits ink processing, regularly organize fire training, on-site hazard inspections and emergency drills, and continuously improve the plant’s safety emergency response system.
