China's NEV Industry Transformation: Suzhou Menhow Advances Automotive-Grade Component Technology

2026-09-17
Recently, Industry and Information Technology issued the 15th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Intelligent and Connected New Energy Vehicles. By 2030, China will further consolidate its full industrial chain advantages for intelligent and connected new energy vehicles, and vehicles equipped with autonomous driving functions will achieve large-scale application. Industry analysis indicates that the focus of competition in China’s automotive industry has shifted from pure vehicle sales volume to core supply chain capabilities, including power battery systems, intelligent driving, automotive-grade chips, software systems and green manufacturing. Four major trends — electrification, low-carbon development and globalization — are reshaping the landscape of the auto parts industry.
Rising Demand for Auto lamp and Seat Pressure Sensors(2)
According to industry research reports, profound changes are taking place in the global competitive landscape of auto parts. The traditional "drawings-to-production" supplier model is gradually giving way to deeper, technology-driven partnerships. Auto parts suppliers are no longer passive product vendors; they are deeply involved in vehicle product definition, concurrent engineering and global delivery. Meanwhile, cross-industry players from AI, software and consumer electronics sectors are entering the market. As automobiles evolve from mechanical products into software-hardware integrated intelligent terminals, auto parts enterprises are compelled to strengthen their comprehensive capabilities covering algorithms, data and cross-domain integration.
Suzhou Menhow Advances Automotive-Grade Component Technology-1
Suzhou Menhow, a Suzhou-based auto parts manufacturer, has rolled out its medium- and long-term roadmap for new energy and intelligent vehicles, drawing on expertise in precision silicone rubber and printed circuits. Supported by IATF16949 certification, Class 100,000 clean workshops and abundant LSR R&D experience, the company advances automotive-grade silicone rubber seals, includingseals for new energy connectors and PETDOT automotive lamps. Its high-performance sealing products serve cabins, power batteries and lamp assemblies. The lineup covers seals for lamp housings, ECUs and precision onboard structures, solving NEV challenges of leakage, lamp fogging and performance loss in harsh working environments.
A representative from Suzhou Menhow stated that standalone hardware manufacturing can no longer sustain long-term competitiveness amid industrial changes. Moving forward, the company will continue refining its core liquid silicone rubber seal products, conducting customized development for PETDOT automotive lamps, intelligent cabins and thermal management components to enhance automotive-grade reliability, and deepen concurrent R&D cooperation with domestic new energy OEMs. On the other hand, it will carry out green and low-carbon upgrades to production facilities and improve carbon footprint management to meet compliance requirements for overseas markets.
